Diffractive Axicons to Increase the Efficiency of Solar Cells
We propose to integrate diffractive axicons into solar cells as a light trap for increasing of light absorbing efficiency. Experimental work and numerical simulations are provided in this paper. The experimental measurements of light-to-electricity conversion efficiency are conducted using a laser with tunable wavelength.
متن کاملHashing Image Patches for Zooming
In this paper we present a Bayesian image zooming/super-resolution algorithm based on a patch based representation. We work on a patch based model with overlap and employ a Locally Linear Embedding (LLE) based approach as our data fidelity term in the Bayesian inference. The image prior imposes continuity constraints across the overlapping patches. We apply an error back-projection technique, w...
متن کاملDemonstration of focus-tunable diffractive Moiré-lenses.
In an earlier publication [Appl. Opt. 47, 3722 (2008)] we suggested an adaptive optical lens, which consists of two cascaded diffractive optical elements (DOEs). Due to the Moiré-effect the combined optical element acts as a Fresnel zone lens with a refractive power that can be continuously adjusted by a mutual rotation of the two stacked DOEs. Here we present an experimental realization of thi...
متن کاملImage Zooming using Non-linear Partial Differential Equation
The main issue in any image zooming techniques is to preserve the structure of the zoomed image. The zoomed image may suffer from the discontinuities in the soft regions and edges; it may contain artifacts, such as image blurring and blocky, and staircase effects. This paper presents a novel image zooming technique using Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). It combines a non-linear Fourth-ord...
متن کاملA New Technique for Image Zooming Based on the Moving Least Squares
In this paper, a new method for gray-scale image and color zooming algorithm based on their local information is offered. In the proposed method, the unknown values of the new pixels on the image are computed by Moving Least Square (MLS) approximation based on both the quadratic spline and Gaussian-type weight functions. The numerical results showed that this method is more preferable to biline...
